Network Operations Center Engineer in EMAPTA

About the Role:
Like a NOC engineer you will monitor circuits and network infrastructure for potential outages and service degradations.

Location: Colombia.

• Respond to Network troubles related to voice and data.
• Resolve troubles via ServiceNow ticket system, email, or phone.
• May need to join conference bridges with customer to resolve network issues.
• Ability to be teacher and learner – share knowledge and learn new technologies.
• Help with documentation that may be needed to educate NOC technicians.
• Be an escalation point of contact for significant outages.
• Must be self-starter.
• Meeting with Internal stakeholders to discuss NOC operational issues.
• Work with voice vendor on any network “bugs” that may need patched.
• Help with root cause analysis – so Incident management team can deliver RCA’s.
• Familiar with network best practices – maintenance windows, config backups.

• English level B2.
• At least 1 year in similar roles.
• Familiar with NMS tools.
• Able to work in a 24/7 NOC.
• Experience with Linux, Cisco, Dell / Cumulus, BGP troubleshooting.
• Experience with circuit / transport troubleshooting.
• Experience with IP networks.
• Familiar with email, phone, ticket system best practices.
• Experience with hardware, software, including servers, VMs ect.
• Be able to document / network diagrams / viso.
