When you add a LinkedIn profile while applying to a job on Get on Board, the field must point to your personal LinkedIn profile. If the application form does not accept the URL, check the format before trying again.
Accepted formats
These formats are valid:
text https://www.linkedin.com/in/your-profile linkedin.com/in/your-profile https://www.linkedin.com/mwlite/in/your-profile
You can include https://, but it is not required. Get on Board can normalize profile URLs that start with linkedin.com/in/.
Common reasons validation fails
- The URL points to a company, school, job, post, or search page instead of your personal profile.
- The URL uses a short link such as
lnkd.in. - The URL does not include
/in/or/mwlite/in/. - The URL has spaces, invalid characters, or is longer than 255 characters.
- The page is private or malformed.
