What data is extracted when I upload my resume?

On Get on Board job applications, as a professional you upload a resume that is stored as a file and also processed to extract readable text.

What gets extracted

Get on Board extracts the text from your resume to create a searchable version that helps recruiters review your skills and experience more efficiently.

When AI analysis is involved

If a job uses Superpower AI, the extracted text can be analyzed to summarize your skills and experience or power smart filters. This analysis supplements your resume; it does not replace the original document.

Your original file stays available

Recruiters can always download the original file you uploaded, so they can read it exactly as you prepared it.

Why extraction might fail

Text extraction can be limited when a file is:

  • Password-protected.
  • A scanned image without selectable text.
  • Low quality or heavily compressed.

If you can, upload a text-based PDF or DOC/DOCX to improve results.
