What is Ashby and what can I do with the Ashby integration?

When you use Get on Board as a company recruiter and your team already works in Ashby, the external ATS integration lets you connect both systems so you can keep using Ashby without copying the same recruiting work twice.

What is Ashby?

Ashby is an applicant tracking system (ATS) that recruiting teams use to manage job postings, applications, interviews, and hiring workflows.

If Ashby is where your team already reviews candidates, Get on Board can work as the talent source while Ashby stays as your main ATS.

What you can do with the Ashby integration

  • Connect Ashby from the Integrations section in Get on Board with an API key.
  • Import listed Ashby jobs into Get on Board as draft jobs that you can review, edit, and send to moderation.
  • Connect an existing Get on Board job to an Ashby posting instead of importing a new draft.
  • Send compatible applications from Get on Board to Ashby automatically or manually, depending on your ATS export settings.
  • Sync supported Ashby application-form questions into Get on Board so candidates can answer them while applying.
  • Export standard application fields, such as candidate identity and contact data, plus resume information and supported Ashby question answers when the Ashby form allows them.
  • Keep connected jobs aligned when an Ashby posting closes.

What to keep in mind

  • The current Ashby integration is focused on listed jobs, application-form question sync, and compatible application exports.
  • Supported Ashby application-form questions include text, boolean, single-select, and multi-select fields that can be shown safely in Get on Board.
  • Ashby-owned questions are managed from Ashby. They are not edited from the regular Get on Board question editor.
  • Superpower AI insights, scorecards, and other Get on Board-only recruiting data stay inside Get on Board.
  • Salary details may be imported only when Ashby exposes them in a compatible structured format.
  • If the Ashby application form requires unsupported fields, sensitive or compliance fields, missing required answers, stale choices, or mandatory surveys, some candidate exports may fail until your team adjusts the form or collects the missing information.
  • Quick Apply may be unavailable for a connected job when required Ashby questions need the full application flow.
  • Ashby is currently marked as a beta integration in Get on Board, so your team should validate the setup before relying on it for a high-volume process.

Ashby is a good fit when your team already uses Ashby for the hiring process and wants to publish on Get on Board without managing jobs and applications in two separate places.
