LinkedIn Limited Listings is a LinkedIn job distribution option that can show eligible Get on Board jobs in LinkedIn job search results at no additional posting cost.
This article is for recruiters who want to understand how the LinkedIn feed works at a high level. If you need setup steps, read how to make your jobs appear automatically on LinkedIn.
Limited Listings vs Premium Listings
Premium Listings are paid LinkedIn postings designed for broader promotion. Limited Listings are free listings that can appear in search results for professionals actively looking for jobs.
Get on Board sends eligible jobs through the LinkedIn feed, but LinkedIn decides which jobs it accepts, processes, and displays.
How Get on Board sends jobs
When your company has a valid LinkedIn Company ID in Get on Board, eligible jobs can enter the LinkedIn feed. The feed uses information already present in your job post, such as title, company, description, location, seniority, skills, workplace type, and salary when visible and complete.
Get on Board sends only jobs that are:
- Published and visible.
- Not confidential.
- Attached to an active unlocked process.
- Published within the last 3 months.
- Linked to a company that has a valid LinkedIn Company ID.
If you unpublish a job, hide it, make it confidential, or it no longer meets these conditions, it stops qualifying for the LinkedIn feed.
What this means for recruiters
LinkedIn Limited Listings is a visibility channel, not a replacement for managing your process in Get on Board. Your job post, application form, candidate tracking, messages, and process stages remain in Get on Board.
Use it as an extra distribution path for eligible jobs. It can help more active job seekers discover the role, while your team still reviews applications from the same Get on Board process.
For best results, keep the original Get on Board job post complete and clear. LinkedIn receives the job information from that post, so accurate locations, seniority, skills, workplace type, and visible compensation help the listing be easier to classify and understand.
What to expect
The feed is not the same as an instant job post inside LinkedIn. Get on Board can send eligible jobs, but LinkedIn may take additional time to process them or may decide not to display certain jobs based on its own rules.
Since March 2025, LinkedIn has also applied additional restrictions to jobs sent through third-party sources. This means some companies may not see their jobs appear through Limited Listings even when the setup in Get on Board is correct.
If a job does not appear, first confirm that the company LinkedIn page is configured correctly and that the job is recent, visible, non-confidential, and unlocked. If all of that looks right, contact us with the company URL and job links so we can review the Get on Board side of the setup.
