When a hiring process is closed, you can either re-open it or duplicate it. Use this when you want to hire again for the same role and are unsure whether to keep the original applicants. Re-opening keeps the original applicants and notes, while duplicating creates a clean job posting.
Re-open a closed process
Re-opening keeps the same job and all its data (applications, messages, stages, and notes). The job keeps its original publication date or the last refreshed date.
You can only re-open jobs that are less than 4 months old. Re-opening does not consume an extra publication quota. If you do not have an active subscription and the job has Pin or Boost, you cannot refresh its date.
Duplicate a process
Duplicating creates a new version of the job with a clean board and no previous applicants. You will need to unlock the new job unless your subscription unlocks jobs automatically.
Use duplication when the job is 4 months old or older, or when you want a fresh start without past applicants. All applicants remain available in your candidates database.
What happens when you duplicate a job
- The new job has no previous applicants, messages, or stages.
- The original job stays closed and visible in your closed processes.
- The new job goes through moderation before it is approved.
- To access applicant information, you must unlock the new job unless your subscription unlocks jobs automatically.
How to duplicate a process
- Close the job you want to duplicate from the Actions menu.
- When closing it, select who you hired and decide whether to notify the other applicants.
- Go to
/dashboard/closed, open the closed job, and choose Duplicate process. - Edit the new job and submit it. It will go through moderation before being approved.
Which option should I choose?
- Re-open if you want to keep applicants and continue the same process.
- Duplicate if the job is older than 4 months or you want a clean board.
