Job moderation policy

We manually review every job posted on Get on Board. We may reject, request changes, or suspend a job even if it was previously approved.

Describe your company and work environment

Professionals want context about your industry, culture, and workplace. Be explicit and avoid assuming candidates already know your company.

Describe job functions, not only qualifications

Explain what the role does day to day, which team it belongs to, and how performance will be measured. Listing skills alone is not enough.

Match the seniority level to the role

Seniority levels imply different expectations and compensation. Ensure the duties match the selected level. See our seniority levels policy.

Use clear formatting and correct language

Write in a friendly, professional tone. Avoid excessive capitalization, and make sure technology names are properly written.

Align requirements with the position

Your title, responsibilities, and requirements must point to the same role. Misaligned postings reduce trust and will be moderated.

One role per ad

Each ad must represent a single role and seniority level so the platform can categorize and match it correctly.

Keep expectations realistic and inclusive

Differentiate must-haves from nice-to-haves. Asking for too much makes the ad less credible. We do not accept discriminatory requirements based on gender, race, nationality, age, or other arbitrary conditions. Mandatory country, school, or workplace requirements are also not allowed.

Disclose the real workplace if recruiting for someone else

If you are recruiting on behalf of a client, you must clearly identify the final workplace. This applies to staffing, outsourcing, and consulting firms. Ads that do not disclose the real employer will not be published.

You can post jobs confidentially if needed. Confidential posts require a subscription plan.

Use inclusive language

Ensure your copy does not assume a candidate’s gender or exclude anyone.

Play by the rules

We do not allow spam, contact harvesting, or illegal activity. Misrepresenting conditions, salary, or employer is grounds for removal. Applications must happen through Get on Board, so avoid external application links or contact details.
